I am planning to remodel our family home. Which will build a higher amount of equity: Shingles or Metal Roofing?

The choice is yours. I would use a shingle roof, because the majority of homeowners like the textured look of shingles, they also like the blend of colors within the shingles.
A shingle roof is easily patched should a tree branch of other object put a hole in your roof. A metal roof will dent, bend if hit by a heavy branch,etc. And although a shingle roof if patched will show the difference between old and new shingles, the metal roof will show it much more.
Some homes look good with a metal roof-it depends on the style. To answer your question I would think more people including a bank appraiser would say a shingled roof would have more value.

1972 vw beetle Air Filter?

I've got a 1972 vw beetle(currently being restored) w/a stock 1500cc engine (other than ignition, exhaust, ported heads and intake, and a generator to alternator conversion) and I was wondering if there was a cold-air intake set-up for a beetle. I need some sort of air filter and I don't want to go w/a stock filter. I've seen some that are different shapes and sizes. Does it make a difference? Also if there is more filter element exposed (a larger filter) does that mean the carbs gonna get more air? My carb is just the stock solex 34 pict 3 (for now), but I just want to try to feed her as much air if that makes a difference at all.

Use a K & N filter and jet the carb properly for the air flow.

i have a chevrolet avalanche 2006 and 28000 miles,do i steel have factory warranty?

It would depend on what date the "in service date" was. Meaning, the date the vehicle was titled for the first time. Your vehicle came with a 3 year, 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty.

So, although your vehicle is a 2006, it is possible that it was bought in 2005 which would mean that you don't have any warranty left.

You can call your local chevy dealer, ask for the service department and they can run your vin# to find out what the in service date was for you. Or, if you are the original owner, and you still have your contract, the in service date would be the day you purchased it, then go 3 years from that.

I found loads in USA but it would be easier in UK, iv been to all the local building suppliers i.e Jewsons etc all the ones you can walk into off the street. tried google all i got was ones in USA.

Or try them direct on 01708 559 609 or e-mail rubiuk@rubi.com they do manufacture these concrete pattern stamps, I suspect that they may be a special order item for most stockists though, in which case beware that once you order them that's it no refunds unless covered by the usual sale of goods act. i.e. if you just change your mind on the pattern then it's too late.
